Craft Blog

On this blog I keep a record of things that I have made. I love to sew, repurpose, create and design things! I consider myself pretty crafty. I hope you enjoy seeing my latest projects! Crafting is a great release for me so check back often because I will be adding new things all the time!

Fat quarter swap

I found (through a google search) a fat quarter swap. It was at http://koolbeenz-blog.blogspot.com/?m=1
It was a trade of 4 fat quarters. Then I added in some fun goodies.
Each had 4 fat quarters
A homemade harry potter wand
A quote magnet
A bookmark
10 ways to use a fat quarter

And this tile that says "never underestimate the power of one quilter and her sewing machine" it's easier to see in real life.

I can't wait to see what I get in return!!

Graduation gifts

My coworker and friend Michael graduated from hs this week. I found ideas from lilluna.com and nobiggie.net
Not a bad way to give $20 bucks!

Army hats

Travis needed me to to see these patches on his hats. I was so excited but it was a lot of pressure to get it right. I was glad it worked out.

Pin cushion

My son made this little pot forme for Mother's Day. When the flower died I had no use for a tiny pot until I thought of a pin cushion. I filled the bottom with lentils and then made a fabric yo-yo and filled it with stuffing. Then before hot glueing it down along the rim I added a sliver of a bar of soap to keep the pins fresh to slip through the fabric. Last I wrapped the edge with jute and added the pins.

Book marks

I made these bookmarks (idea from http://mybusybeehives.blogspot.com/?m=1) bookmarks for the lesson I taught in relief society for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I love how they turned out so easy and quick!

No success

I have the sweetest bishop. Him and his family were so kind to us while Travis was away. We thanked them with this tile to go in their home.

Mil bday gift

A tile for my mother in law. I love this quote "blessed are those who spoil and snuggle hug and hope pray and pamper boast and brag for they shall be called gramzi.
