I have been doing this little "14 days of valentines" every year Trav and I have been married... since he never checks our blog, let alone my craft blog I thought I'd post what I've got. I give him one thing every day of February until Valentines day.
Don't think I'm corney but will you be my valentine?
Lifesavers "you are my Lifesavers"
Hersheys hugs and kisses "I love your hugs and kisses"
Glow stick straws "you light up my life"
Peanuts "I'm Nuts about you"
Travis loves old spice. He especially loves "Swagger" both the name and the smell. So these are just for him. Ke$ha Song reference:
And just a funny saying we made up, No one likes swass
This one is a little sarcastic... but I know Trav will think its funny.
Nerf gun "Marrying you was a shot in the dark... But I scored a bullseye. Nailed it!
Reeses pieces "I love you to pieces"
Hot tamales "you're one hot tamale"
Nerds "thanks for loving a Nerd like me"
Crush pop "I have a crush on you"
Oreo dipped suckers "I'm a "sucker for you"
The last two are a bit personal so I left them out. But here is the original list of valentines. I just tried to mix it up from year to year.
I'm "NUTS" for you, Valentine!
I "CHEWS" you, Valentine! (gum balls)
You're a "LIFESAVER"
I love your "HUGS & KISSES"
I have a "CRUSH" on you, Valentine! (crush pop)
You're one "HOT TAMALE!!!"
I "TREASURE" your love, Valentine!! (choclates)
You're my "BIG HUNK," Valentine!!
You're "EXTRA" special too me!!
You're a real "SWEET-TART"
Call me "CORNEY" but will you be my Valentine? (corn nuts pop corn)
Don't "SNICKER," be my Valentine.
I love you "MOUNDS," Valentine.
You're one "WHOPPER" of a husband.
My love "inflates" for you (balloon)
I love you to "pieces" (reeses pieces)

First Freezer Paper Project
Ok I am officially in LOVE with freezer paper. I made this for a friend's birthday. It says "unlimited MPG" with a bike because she rides her bike to work everyday. Nuts!
I used the freezer paper idea from Make it and Love it
I used the draw string bag from Notes from a Red Kitchen with a few tweeks of my own (like I ran two strings, one wrapping each way, so you can pull the sting from both sides.)
Side note if you haven't been to either of these blogs you should. Both are just AMAZING and I am officially obsessed!

The craft room!
I am SO excited to finally show you my craft room! Where my creative magic occurs. I spent MLK day/Human rights day working on organizing it!
I tried my new panoramic feature on my camera. Here is the full view of the craft room
and around the corner
Here are my sewing machines
And my cricut!
And my FABRIC!
My fun wall with pictures of my friends and memories
My vintage ladies banner made by the one, the only Christie
I used my antique window box to help organize. I sorted my buttons and embroidery floss by color and also made easy access to my scissors and glue gun.
And more girly decorations of my favorite things, meaningful cards and photos
Here is another view of my closet and left wall. I got the Taylor Lautner poster from my BF Jaimie (love her!) I keep all of my "to do" projects on the wire shelf. Also I freed up some space on the little table for a hot glue station.
And last all of my ribbon and supplies in mason jars. someday I want this on a shelf but for now it is on my window sill. I love love me some mason jars.
SO what do you think????

Ruby Lou Doll
I have been drooling over the Ruby Lou Pattern over at Sew Much Ado for forever... well at least a year anyways
She was having a sale so I got the pattern 1/2 off and it was a great buy.
I plan on making plenty more of these adorable little ones!
Here is my first
The doll with out her skirt... did you notice the "pearl necklace?"
Here is her hair braided.
And in pig tails
And her skirt is reversable. One side for the princess and every day wear
The other for the Halloween dress up witch (there is spider webs on the overlay). The girl I am giving it to LOVES Halloween

SIL purse
I'm not very good at remembering to take pictures of the things I make. I made almost all of my Christmas presents this year and this is the only one I remembered to document with photos. I am going to try to do better at this. New years goal!
I pretty much made up this pattern myself using some of the techniques I took from various projects in One Yard Wonders. My sil picked out the fabric and kinda told me the size and type of strap and I created it for her. Then I filled it full of assessories and such, necklaces, scarves, hair clips, you know that kind of stuff.
I took a ton of pictures trying to capture it's cuteness but I still need a lot of work. Here are the best details.
The stap is long enough to go over the head across the body but short enough to just flip over the shoulder. The stap is dark blue on one side and teal on the other. The bottom is flat. It is fully lined with teal
Here is the Flower and ruffle detail. I love how it makes the bag stand out. I love the color and texture combo as well.
She loved it and loved all the little gifties inside. Yay for a successful Christmas.
If you are interested:
I made:
my Father in law a Jean Quilt
My Mother in law a memory book that I scrapbooked
My dad a Photo letter Name sign that said "the Reid's"
My mom a bead watch
My other sil (we draw names) an apron, oven mitt and hanging dish towel
